Tombstone Tuesday: Ayars
Oct. 31st, 2011 05:59 pmYou know how you are out taking photos at a cemetery, and a stone just grabs you?
This one grabbed me.
The photo was taken at Oakland Cemetery in Russellville, Pope Co., AR about 5 years ago.
I know there's a story here.

T H Ayars, 1830-1905 and Jennie Ayars, 1843-1905
The only thing I have ever been able to find on the deaths of T H Ayars and his wife was this small snippet from the Maryland Sun, published on 30 Jan 1905.

DIED.
AYARS - On January 28, 1905, in Russellville, Arkansas, Rev. T H AYARS, father of Mrs. F M Killis, No. 916 North Mount street.
AYARS - On January 28, 1905, in Russellville, Arkansas, Mrs. JENNIE AYARS, wife of Rev. T H Ayars.
This is an encore presentation of essentially the same post of 29 Nov 2010, because this one will probably always bug me...
