Sepia Saturday: Postcard to Mom, 1910

I can only imagine it was great-grandma Maxie's idea to take photos of the Williams' family home in Russellville, and turn them into postcards.

So, in 1910, son Paul used one to write Mama from Little Rock:





Am leaving for H S (Hot Springs) in about an hour. Got here about 11.30. Stayed at Torrey House. Paul.

They used to have so many family photographs that would be printed on postcard back card so they could be used as postcards. Which is a wonderful idea and something that should be so easy to do these days, but is not very fashionable in this Facebook and Texting age
