I have "the book" written by John W Cothern called Confederates of Elmwood, and am happy to do look-ups for anyone. Just leave a comment to this entry or this one, and I will reply.

Thank you for the great photos and your offer to do a lookup in the Book 'Confederates of Elmwood'. I am searching for a John M. or John N. Wright (or J.M./J.N.) of the 11th Arkansas Infantry who may have died of disease in Memphis during the War. His family says he died in Memphis, but does not know where he was buried. Any assistance you may provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Robert

Looking for information on Confederate soldier Barton Dickson/Dixon who I'm told was buried in Elmwood Cemetery, possibly in the Soldier's Rest section. I was wondering if you could look in the book Confederates of Elmwood and see if he was listed. If he is listed we would appreciate knowing what was said. Cordially,

please visit the SCV's Confederate Graves Registry (CGR) at
it's a free site with multiple search options.
