Shakin' the Family Tree

Oh Dee, what a heartbreaking story! Of course, I went back to read your background post as well. I loved all of the information that was in the probate record. In addition to the funeral expenses, I discovered the cost of hay and how much to fix a wagon wheel, but, even in that time, the attorney seemed to do the least for the most money!

Every now and then when I start to feel sorry for myself, I give a shake and think how many past ancestors would have been thrilled to have what I have. . . the women most of all.
