Sepia Saturday: Ruth's first car...

The theme this week is "going out."

My grandaunt Ruth Balding with her 1928 Essex sedan.

She was 25.

This is a Sepia Saturday post. Head over there for other really cool old photos.

Stunning photo! A true and classic Sepia Saturday picture if I have ever seen one. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Very cool car she had to go out in too. Not sure if this is where I should be commenting for your Sepia photo....but here it is. I just recently bought two hats just like she's wearing for a Murder-Mystery we went to, from the roaring 20's.

What a lucky girl to own a car like that at her age. Great photo.

From Alan Burnett:
What a car and what a photograph. Given the chance, I would certainly take a trip out in that car.

That's a great car. I am starting to like those fashions more and more. They seem like they wouldn't be too out of place today.

Going out!!

This is what I call going out in style!!
One would think this was a schoolyard in the background.
Am I right?!

Dee, you haven't posted for a while. Are you okay? I don't always comment but I always read.
