Those Places Thursday: Russellville AR Post Office, c 1910

Left to right: George Washington Burris, Jr.; his brother, Homer Burris; his cousin, Lee Jones; and his father, George Washington Burris, Sr., seated. [Oops, looks like Great Granddaddy got lopped off due to it is, smaller.]

Yeah, the Post Office figured largely in my family's lives...

Get a load of the dust in there...

Love it!

I am not from Arkansas originally, but I currently live in Little Rock. I have been to Russelville quite a bit and loved seeing this historical photo. Thanks for sharing!

Asthma beware, of course back in the day one worked past such ailments. Not even a face mask in the group. Love the historical value of the day to day back beyond my day. THX JEn

oh yes, where is TAG, PO in relation to Russellville? Were routes made on foot, horseback, or by vehicle? Wm Alfred Freeman carried mail from Tag, as you know. Just wondering? THX JEn
