This is a wonderfully composed photograph. So much texture and the fence and wagon and car just lead us into the scene. Love the hat on the knee.

Do not have a clue...I snagged the image from the LOC because they said they did not know of any copyright.

I've thought about trying to find something out about that plantation though.

From Alan : The picture seems to share that element with this weeks' theme picture of being "informally posed". In both cases it was either luck - or quite creative stage management.
