How did the women deal with the July heat while wearing those dadgummed corsets?

I'm so glad you liked the post, Dee. If I'd gotten my act together earlier I would have finished some research to make some educated guesses about my wonderings. As it was, I started too late and could only just write questions (mostly). Thanks for the mention.
