I feel sad when someone like this - because of a horrible accident and lack of knowledge due to the time in which he lived - becomes a black sheep in the family. Poor Cedric.

I think it's not uncommon for the truth to lay hidden behind the words in newspaper articles. (Although sometimes the newspapers broadcast it in large print!)
