1) What day of the week were you born? Tell us how you found out.
Thursday, November 13, 1958.
I was told it was a Thursday by my maternal grandmother, who always recited the little rhyme for me...
Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day
Is bonny and blithe and good and gay. (My emphasis added.)
As I got older, I asked her if that meant I was going to move to some exotic locale.
She said no, what it meant was I would be hugely successful, if I could get around all the pitfalls along the way.
No pressure there...
