Dee, I think I rely too heavily on google reader to inform me of new posts. I just realized how unreliable it is! I missed that you were doing the FH Alphabet Challenge! So sorry. Are you feeling challenged by it? (I am!)

What an interesting article you found about Hector getting electricity. They must have jumped for joy to finally have been able to quit using gas lamps. On the other hand, just because they had electricity, they may not yet have had electrical appliances -- lamps, refrigerators, toasters, etc. I suppose it was a little expensive to transition.

I love the photo of your father and Rex. Your dad looks so serious and focused.
