This photo offers me so many lines of thinking. Were they farmers? Was this taken during the depression? If they were farmers, was it just before harvest time? Was it a Saturday afternoon and the farmers of the community usually gathered around the courthouse for an afternoon visit? Were they there for a court hearing? Were they waiting the outcome of a trial? I wish I could get answers to my questions!

Well , there is one answer - it was 1936, right in the heart of the depression.
