Unless the applicant was born at least 100 years ago, the SSA is going to black out the names of his/her parents, for privacy reasons. However, if you can prove the parents are dead, you're good to go.
And if you could do that, you wouldn't want to see what the names were on the SS5, now would you?
I mean a parent who was born 118, 125, or more years ago is entitled to his/her privacy, right?
Can our government get any lamer? Wonder which 140 year old parent complained?
